NWR: Car Dealership

NWR: Car Dealership

I have had my car for a few years now and I bought an extended warranty. Well, I go in to Wantagh Mitsubishi as I always do with a problem, and they refused to contact my warranty company because their computers stated my warranty expired. I showed them the copy of my warranty (that I keep in the glove box) and they said it was unclear...hmph how convenient. Oh and the car was unsafe to drive--so of course I had to fix it. ($500 worth of repairs)

I returned a day later with my bill of sale and my original warranty and they told me there was nothing they could even though the work should have been covered. Then they keep blowing smoke and mirrors saying that it is my fault that they didn't contact the company and that I didn't even buy the car there...(My original dealership closed) GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR...

Since I am a nice person, it just gets me so upset and angry. I have had a knot in my stomach for days now.....Be wary girls...and never, ever trust anyone....

I would write a letter to Mitsubishi and the company you bought the extended warranty from (if not from Mitsubishi) and tell them about your experience....maybe they will compensate you, or at least contact the dealership and try and settle it. I had an issue with a Ford dealer years ago and wrote to Ford directly and got some help! Good luck...sorry this happened!!

If it isn't a Mitsu specific warranty you should be able to write/call the company, send in your receipts and get reimbursed.
