I am with Allstate and I feel like they keep raising my rates, when I was told they would go down after 6 months since it was the first time being on my own policy. I get the renewal, its increased by like $150.....WTH!?!?!!
I know my premium will be high because its a 2010 and a lease, but seriously!?!? 800 every 6 months for a HONDA?!!?!

Re: NWR: Car Insurance
i am with geico, and i am thrilled with their services. i used to be with another, smaller company. i got into a very minor accident, and i was so impressed with how the other person's insurance handled it that i switched almost immediately!

Re: NWR: Car Insurance
We always had Geico for a long time....and if you have renters insurance with them you get a discount. However, once we bought the house we switched to State Farm and have all our policies with them.
Its best to get all your insurance policies in one place like renters/home, personal property (for your ering) life insurance, etc.....you get a multiple policy discount this way.

what company do you use for your auto insurance?

That's a lot. I just had an accident with my accord and I am now paying 500 for full coverage with geico. I had gotten an allstate quote (we just got renters insurance through them) and the rate was unbelievable. More than my car payment

Re: NWR: Car Insurance
Fh & i are on Kemper. You have to have excellent credit and an excellent driving record (i mean REALLY excellent). We pay $138 a month for 4 policies. AND, we have MORE coverage than what geico was charging, we were paying $900 every six months with all 4 policies we have with them (renters, my ring, and 2 cars).
When we went to trade in my car back in June for a Nissan Sentra, they had an insurance broker at Smithtown Nissan that helped us switch from Geico. Kemper is also based on a yearly term instead of six months, so rates only change once a year. HTH.

Re: NWR: Car Insurance
my husband canned my allstate and put me under his which is 21st century. I'm paying about $75 less (a month) than what I would with allstate. And the coverage is just as good. We also are good drivers, so that helps as well. But allstate, as good as they are, really jacked up the rates and its totally unreasonable.

I'm with Geico...I used to have Progressive, but when I bought my new car the amount they were asking for full coverage was totally insane.
Geico is much cheaper and the customer service reps are sooo much nicer

I like The Hartford’s customer service. It does my home and car insurance. The multi policy discounts are good too.

Re: NWR: Car Insurance
i'm paying about $1300 a year with Allstate on an 05. I'm at the highest with coverage and am on their Platinum Protection plan.
FH just switched to Allstate from Geico and is paying $7 more a month and has about 60% better/more coverage than what Geico was giving him.
Do your homework. Just b/c Geico is cheaper doesn't mean you're betting the better package
