In addition to my mind being on the wedding, it's also on the fact that my lease on my car is winding down. Next January I have to hand back my car - not a horrible thing since I'm mad at the dealer for lying to me about some of the cars lack of features (I've bought 2 other cars from this dealer - this will be the 3rd and last one b/c of the lying).
If you had to chose among the following 3 - which would you choose:
Those are my top 3 based on price, service, safety, performance, comfort (space for the baby we plan on making within the timeframe of this upcoming lease), and standard features that I must have. I refuse to drive an SUV so those are out of the question. Just curious to what people think or what experiences are with these vehicles.

Re: NWR - Car poll
My brother had the CTS and traded it in after 2 years. He said he had problems with it, and had to take it to the shop a few times.
I try to follow my father's advice when it comes to cars...try getting something that has been out for a few years, instead of a brand new model just created. Because brand new models sometimes have kinks to work out, thus the reason so many cars get recalled.

Re: NWR - Car poll
My FH and I bought a TL in August..we haven't had any problems with it so far...
He also wanted the G35, but not the sedan...and there was no way we were getting a coupe.
Its a tough decision between two. If your looking for a car with a lot more leg room then I would say go with the Acura.
My friend has the TL and she loves it. My other friend just traded in his G35 sedan, but I gotta tell you it was a sweet car. I was in it once, we went out for lunch. Very smooth quiet car. Nice interior and dash board. He now has a new BMZ 3 series 6 speed.
What other cars are you interested in?
The CTS is nice, but Caddy's build quality does not stand up to a Japanese car....I wouldnt recommend getting a caddy.... Scott

Re: NWR - Car poll
I regret not gettingthe Aurca and going with the Mercedes C230- which don't get even if they give it to you for free
also something to keep in mind with these entry level 'luxury' cars- the mainteince- ask what they charge or if it is included- I pay at least $200 every 10K miles

Re: NWR - Car poll
...but thats because you bought a mercedes. All the German cars are like that. Very expensive to maintain. ...I dont believe the acura or the infinity would be like that. The acura is a Honda, and the infinity is a nissan. They may not be as cheap to fix as a honda and a nissan but they shouldnt be as high as a mercedes. Also with Mercedes the parts are a lot more expensive. Scott

Fh has the infintiy G35 he loves his car...it's definatly affordable.. when we get married and start a family we will either buy another infinity or trade in this one for an infintiy 'family car' or SUV

i think you get that with any car you buy, not just a 'luxury' car. FH has a new Nissan Pathfinder, and pays even more for the maintence.

no one tells you that when you get the car- I leased it and shame on me for not asking- but I was just trying to prevent it from happening to another unsuspecting person
and I leased it- if I bought it I would be free to take it anywhere I wanted for service- but I can't under my lease agreement- which I was also not aware of at the time I got the car-
it was the first car I ever got on my own- your live you learn

Re: NWR - Car poll
I didnt say this to get you mad - Its just something I have learned from working at car dealerships over the years. German cars are more expensive to maintain. Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Porsche are all expensive to maintain.
In the case of the Nissan pathfinder that was mentioned above, the only reason I think your SO is paying a lot is probably because he is bringing the truck to the dealer for his maintenance. If he didnt bring his truck to the dealer for the services, and oil changes then the price for maintenance wouldnt be so high.
If you buy a car or SUV now, the only thing you need to be up on are oil changes, and rotating the tires, and draining the anti freeze every other year. Cars that are built now a days do not need to be serviced like the cars built a few years ago. Most engines are good for 100,000 miles with any crazy service. The service plans that dealers offer are not really that important, and a lot of the time you are paying for work that doesnt get done. It is just a ploy to get your hard earned cash Scott

Acura TL or the Infinity would be my choice...I'm not a huge Caddy fan.
