NWR: Car Rentals???

FH and I are going home to Minnesota for my brothers wedding. We normally drive my parents car but since we are going home for 10 days and we have lots of stuff to do and my parents will be working we decided we would rent a car. Has anyone used any companies for this......I know enterprise is probably the most popular, but they are also the most expensive......ACE rent a car is the cheapest but don't know anything baout them......

Anyone have any suggestions??

TIA

I have used budget and alot of different car rental companies that I don't know the name. I have always gone with whatever has the cheapest price. To me all the places are the same.

go on to kayak.com .. it will give you the best deals available for the different agencies because it pulls rates from various websites.

I always go with whoever has the cheapest price. Whether its budget, enterprise, hertz, or no name. I think I actually have better experiences with the lesser known car rental companies... they're more likely to upgrade your car for free.

I would use whoever is cheapest, just be sure to read the fine print and don't buy any of that scam insurance they offer. If you call your insurance to make sure, most policys cover you if anything were to happen but thats where the rentals make their $$

Budget and they have a costco code, even if youre not a member you can use it. Big savings.

I've used Budget, Enterprise and Avis.
Budget was the best in price and in service.

I use Alamo everytime I need a rental. There are a lot of discount codes out there for them and I always use a Walmart Corporate ID which automatically saves you at least 10% and adds the additional driver at no charge. When I went to Florida in January some jerk hit the rental (brand new WHITE Camry with a mere 600!! miles on it, mind you) while I was in the movie theater. I didn't take the insurance (never do) and was a little worried when I return the car. The back bumper was badly scraped and when I dropped it off, they said nothing, not a peep. Love them!
