FH & I were thinking of going on a cruise but it's Celebrity and I've been hearing mixed reviews about it. We both love the itinerary and it's a good price. I've been on Royal & Carnival and FH has been on Holland. If any of you have cruised Celebrity what did you think? (It's the Galaxy ship)
Thanks!

Re: NWR: Celebrity Cruises
celebrity is supposed to be one of the best ones. FH went on it a few years ago and said it was real good...even others on LIW who went said great things about it...do a search on LIW and you'll find quite a few reviews about it

It is a 11 night caribbean cruise for $1000pp but I keep seeing things on line that the ship is outdated and run down.

Re: NWR: Celebrity Cruises
it really depends on what ship it is- i work for a travel co- so if you want to fm me the ship name- i can get you some info. just fyi- celebrity is definately one of the best but it does tend to cater to an older crowd- its not as young as carnival or rc

Celebrity is FANTASTIC! I went to Alaska in 2000 on a Celebrity ship. Everything is 5 star rated- the service, the food- EVERYTHING. I LOVE Celebrity cruises and only go on Celebrity cruises.

We had an amazing experience on Celebrity.
Awesome food, unbelievalbe service.
For the money, you can't beat a cruise. I will say that you don't spend much time on the ship, the one or 2 days that you are at sea, you will probably be by the pool - they had nice chairs with cushions and nice towels for us. The other days we spent on the islands we were visiting. We were really only in our room for sleeping.
Our ship was not rundown at all, very nice decor and had a very upscale feel. I forget which ship we were on

Re: NWR: Celebrity Cruises
We took a Celebrity cruise two years ago to Bermuda and it was great!! They do cater to an older crowd, but thats what we liked about it. We did not want a bunch of screaming kids running around while we were trying to relax!

FH and me are preferred captain club members with Celebrity. We LOVE them. We go on 2-3 cruises a year and every time we go with someone other then them, we're disappointed.
