Hi everyone! I'm throwing my dad a surprise 60th birthday party at the end of August. However, I have no clue what to use as the centerpieces. I don't want to do flowers bc I feel like that would be too feminine. Does anyone have any ideas on a nice, elegant, not too expensive centerpiece? TYIA!

maybe tree centerpieces, with branches and candles. Like this: Branch Cp

Re: NWR: Centerpieces
For my e-party my FFIL and FSMIL did champagne bottles anchoring balloons. They taped a little ticket on the bottom of one chair at each table and at the end of the night whoever was sitting in the winning seat got to keep the champagne. I thought it was really cute and it looked nice :) I will see if I can find a pic!
I found a pic, I'm putting it in my album!

Thanks ladies! I was actually already toying with the wine bottle idea, but wasn't sure if that would be substantial enough, but it looks good with the balloons. I was going to group 3 or so bottles together. The tree idea looks cute also, but I wanted to maybe have the centerpiece double as the favor since we're not doing formal favors.

For my dads 50th birthday party we did wide fish bowls with floating candles. We put blue colored pebbles on the bottom and a drop of blue food coloring in the water...it looked really pretty.

You could also do something he likes. My father is an avid fisherman so I might do something with fishing tackle
I think golf balls might look nice in a big glass vase or something.
