nwr: chag hamatzah!

Hey 07ers!

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy passover. May you have fun and liberating seders, and may the matzah of freedom taste better than stale cardboard.

And ladies not observing, please have some whiskey for us.

Wait a minute...no whiskey during passover? Can someone please explain the rules to me? I thought it was just bread and pasta.

I can't say that I enjoy matzah, but we did have a wonderful seder on Saturday with FH's family.

it depends on how strict one is. Some folks just stick with no bread, pizza, and pasta. Others do all wheat products; still others do all wheat and corn products (ie no high fructose corn syrup), so no beer, no whiskey, etc. There are also folks who have a difference of opinion on what counts as 'grain'- do soybeans and corn count? You know what they say about two jews, three opinions.

OMG I totally hear you on the 4 questions thing. I'm almost 27 and everyone still turns to me at that part like 'awwwww she knows how to sing ALL the words!' good gracious!

Happy Passover Everyone... I'm enjoying a piece of matzah with butter right now for lunch and the crumbs are all over my desk.
