My FH is godfather for his cousins son, and his christening is coming up soon. what should my FH be in charge of buying? his outfit, jewelry? Also, what is the customary amount to give as far as money?

I believe the godfather just gives a gift and possibly a cross or some piece of jewelry. I believe the godmother buys the outfit.

The outfit is the godmother, who also usually gives money/jewelry. I would do money or a savings bond in whatever amount you feel comfortable doing.

i think the godmother buys the outfit and i would give a money amount that u r comfy with..when i was a godmother i think the godfather gave 300??i think..i m not sure i bought the out fit and a cross..hth
