NWR: Christening Gift

My niece & now goddaughter is having her christening in a couple weeks & I wanted to know how much I should give.

I bought her dress & all her accessories and I am the godmother. How much should I give?
Is $100 ok?

I think $100 is good, especially since you bought the outfit and accessories.

you could get her $100 savings bond.... it would mature to $200 when shes older

for my nephew i gave them a $500 savings bond ($200 paid)

and we did the same thing for FHs niece who was just christened last week

but when FH was the godfather at his nephews christening, he gave him $500 savings bond and I gave $100 cash

I give those for christenings just because by the time college comes they will need all the $ they can get. And I like that it only costs me half the value.
