NWR: christmas cards

Ok, so my fiance is such a cutie and he had the idea to make combined christmas cards with engagement announcements (since most of his family does not know about it- it just occured on Oct 13th)

But we were thinking of doing one of those christmas cards that is a picture and then on the side or on bottom of picture it says like 'Happy Holidays' or something. He wants to use the picture of him proposing to show it off. Or I have seen several newlyweds have christmas cards with several wedding poses on it and a saying.

Wondering= how do/did you make these cards? Is it just as simple as doing it on the comp and then printing it on special paper with an ink jet printer??

Please help?

Thank you!!!

Check out shutterfly. You upload your pictures onto shutterfly and then design your own card. Alot of brides made their thank you cards that way.

Re: NWR: christmas cards

we designed it on microsoft office and then e-mailed it to CVS, as they print out for very cheap. we are gluing them to card stock and putting a magnet on the back.

try searching for DIY STDS, a couple of ladies have amazing talent!

Re: NWR: christmas cards

yep... picture websites can walk you through it and then they'll print it for you

there is shutterfly.com
snapfish.com
and others

shutterfly has a collage card for the holidays that's cute. you can use up to nine pictures.

i haven't seen the ones on snapfish yet, but my moh loves them.

they're easy to do, the site walks you through it step-by-step

good luck to you

btw: it's a great idea to spread the word of your engagement

Re: NWR: christmas cards

we used premiumpostcards.com for our stds and it was easy and inexpensive. they handle the addresses, postage and printing...all you do is upload your pic, write what you'd like on it and then upload your address list. very easy
check them out!

Re: NWR: christmas cards

How long did it take to receive the shutterly cards?

Also, has anyone had alot of problems making their cards on shutterfly. I keep having to do it over and over because at first the site kept having errors and now when I try to place the pics on the card, two of the 3 pics i am putting say picture is unavailable, so no pics can be put there. The site is just having too many problems right now.
