We just closed on our house abuot a month ago. I know the bank called my job to verify my employment - length of time with the company, my position and salary. I don't know if they asked anything else, but I can't see why the mortgage broker would wind up telling your employer/HR what the address of the property is

Once you own the house you will have to update your records with your employer anyway so they are going to have to know where you live eventually.

You can ask them not to say the address just say you are applying for a mortgage. Normally they dont tell the address unless they are asked for it.

i work at a mortgage company and they call to verify the following:
that you currently work there
how long you have worked there
what your position is
your salary
and the likelihood of you continuing employment there.
they should not go into anything having to do with the property.
