NWR: couples cooking classes

NWR: couples cooking classes

This may be a far stretch but I'm hoping that someone may be able to help. FH's birthday is coming up, and I want to do something original for him this year. My idea is to do a weekend getaway somewhere relaxing (but not too far) to a hotel that offers 'couples cooking classes' packages. i tried to google, but nothing that came up sparked my interest. I thought you girls may have some input, or recommendations. TIA!

Maybe try a local Y? Or if you're close to the city, find out if the Alliance Francaise is having any cooking classes coming up.

We took a cooking class while on our HM in Paris and DH loved it! I'm not in the area though anymore, so I don't know what's available on LI.

Our local Whole Foods also runs cooking classes sometimes, as does William Sonoma stores, actually.

Good luck! What a sweet idea!

I think there are a couple of places in Garden City like Loaves and FIshes that do cooking classes, and the Viking school there (I think it is there) that does classes. Not sure of a getaway that does them though...would love to do one also!!

he loves to cook and he's a great cook. Me on the other hand, I'm hopeless! lol. I was thinking a weekend at a B&B, hotel, or inn where we can stay and they offer the classes at the hotel.

I have been to cooking classes there. Its on Franklin Avenue in Garden City. The store is Viking and the cooking part is called Loaves and Fishes. They do couples cooking classes called 'Date Night'. I believe they have the another store that does same thing in the Hamptons, which might be more like what you were looking for.

I actually got this e-mail from Williams-Sonoma this morning. I'm not registered there, but they sent me this e-mail anyway. You might want to try contacting them! It seems like it is totally free.

A La Carte is located on the south shore in Lynbrook. They have date nights that include obviously the class, wine, and dancing

Wow, cool! I checked out their site but couldn't find info on the wine and dancing part....??

So how many people are in 1 class, I'm curious what this is like! Its a great, fun idea.
