I like the chase freedom. I use it for everything and when I earn $200 cash back, I get a check for $250. I love getting free money!

Re: NWR: credit card choices?
FH and i fly jetblue and we were looking into their card through american express but the APR is like 20 something or some crazy amount.
I feel like the amount of points that they require to get a free flight is some insane amount and it would be cheaper to just put the ticket and get the cash back for it.
i wish there were a card that you can choose either flights or cash back.

Have you booked your honeymoon? Or know where you want to stay? I am a big fan of Starwoods properties, so I got a Starwood AMEX card. I dont know the APR b/cI dont keep a balance, but you get 1 pt for every dollar spent and it adds up. Plus you get double points when you use the card at a Starwood property.

yes... i use the card for everything and have requested a few checks... you can get one at $50 or just let it build up...
as for the travelers cards, i had one with carnival and one with royal carribean since we like to go on cruises... and the perks were a waste bc you HAD to go through their travel agent to get the deals and i was getting better deals with online TA's ... i also had a miles card and it too had some weird stipulations... so read the fine print before signing up for one

The normal Amex card (green) gives you great choices. You can earn 'miles' or 'points.' You have so many reward options. You can use it as miles for free trips or top off your frequent flier accounts OR you can go onto their travel website and choose pay with points to pay off a portion of your trip using points. They also have the AMEX mall where you can shop with your points. You can also get AMEX gift cards or statement credits. It's my favorite card. The regular AMEX card must be paid in full every month. If you get the 'blue' card, you can carry a balance.
