We have been back from our honeymoon for FIVE days and we're already planning our next vacation!
I've never been on a cruise before; DH and I are thinking of booking one through his Platinum rewards program and we need recommendations! The only cruise line I have really heard feedback about is Princess (all good things).
Oh, and we're looking to go through the Caribbean.
Any recommendations / suggestions GREATLY appreciated!!!!

We always cruise Celebrity. Anything other than that, I would consider Princess based on suggestions from friends. But with that said, service, food, quality with Celebrity is fantastic. You may see older people on the ships but honestly, I like it better than being with a bunch if crazy kids that you may find on Carnival or Norwegian. Let me know if you have any questions.

Norweigian Cruise Line all the way! FI family has gone every year for the past 6-7 years and they love it (I have been on 2 of them so far and I had the best time). There are no set times for when you have to eat - you can eat whenever you want. The food is great, there are a bunch of different restaurants/cuisines to choose from. Hot tubs all over the ship, a gym/running track. And the crew/staff are very friendly.

We cruised Princess for our HM and loved it, but I would not recommend crusing with them in the summer. There were 700 kids on the boat!!! Kids are cute but I did not need to 700 of them running around on my honeymoon!

Try NCLif you want to be more laid back and on your own...there no assigned dinning time or seating.
I personally lover Royal Carib.
No matter what you chooses alwaya always always get a balcony!!!!!!!!!!! its so worth every cent

I've taken 4 Carnival cruises and going on my 5th for our HM in December. I don't have a single complaint! Every single one has been fabulous!

Re: NWR: CRUISES! Need recommendations!
ive been on 5 norwegian(ncl) cruises in the past 3 yrs. i lovvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeee them.
im going on royal carribean in novemeber...
as far as honeymoon, i was set on booking a 14 day on the EPIC.. brand new NCL ship.... but after reading about the features on the ship... im a lil ticked off. everrrrrrrrything seems like its an extra surcharge. even the clubs!!!!!! theres 1 club thats open to every1.l. then theres POSH club.. that u have to pay to get in, along with some bars. i think thats sooo lame. u pay all thi smoney to be ona cruise..then once ur on, all the'good' stuff is an extra charge.
so after we go on our 1st royal carribean cruise in novemeber... we will end up deciding btwn the OASIS(new rcl ship) or the Epic (ncl)

Re: NWR: CRUISES! Need recommendations!
I've only gone on NCL, but have had amazing vacations both times. We did the Eastern Caribbean on the Jewel in Nov 2006 and the Western Caribbean on the Pearl in Dec 2008. There were never many kids on the ship - I'd say most of the passsengers seemed to be late 20's and up.
I've always found cruising to be such an easy vacation - there's so much on the ship, that you never have to think about where to eat, how to get there, etc. However, the downside is that you are only at a port for a day or two, so you have to cram everything in. Or, if the weather is bad, you might miss a port. It rained during our only day in the Honduras, so we didn't get to really see that city.
