NWR-- Debit card fraud!

Anyone else getting fraud attempts like crazy??

I went to target last week and my card was declined--I flipped out bc I had just gotten paid so there was a lot of $ in there. They coudlnt send me a new card for 5-7 days. I went to the bank on my lunch and got a new one.

Now I get another email saying 'Irregular activity on my card' They said they wanted to be sure it wasn't part of another 'mass compromise'

Im getting so annoyed. I'm about to go old school and start carrying cash!!!!!!!!!!

I used to have issues with my debit from Bank of America all the time...since switching to TD I haven't had any issues....(Knock on wood)

This is why I pay everything on my CC and pay my balance off weekly (vs monthly) to stay on budget

My FH has had issues with his debit card. He got close to $500 in fraudulent charges put on his card. He had them disputed and got his money back. You have to be so careful these days.

funny thing is...neither time had my card been used. I check my balance everyday online so I would know right away if something was out of the ordinary. So they are just randomly putting stops on my card for precautions. It makes it sooo more annoying!

I did too for like a month we had gottne the money back thank god but still it was a pain in the *** and we switched to capital one so happy about that it was most of the money that FH and i saved for the wedding.

Yes, its happened to me twice. Once on my bank of america card, they didn't let the transaction go through and called and told me. The second time I noticed the charge on my bank card and called to cancel.

Always always always check your statements!

i had someone charge 400 at forever 21 and two 20 purchases at target once. They stopped them because they said it was an unusual amount of $ i was spending. I thought it was funny because i am always clothes shopping but glad they caught it

That is so funny because i use to have chase and never had a problem ... then I moved and had to switch and I picked TD and now I have had my card frozen 3 times.

I dont mind if it is a safety issue... it just annoys me that they don't notify you when the do it because it is embarrassing and annoying when a card is declined and you know you have $ in the account.
