NWR: dh's new job means i have to work pt

i've been wanting, hoping, praying.... so forth and so on.... to not HAVE TO work full time anymore. i'm not at all crazy about the company i work for anymore... too much has changed, and i'm not crazy about the office politics.

anyway, as we were talking about all the changes heading our way with dh's new job (which we're VERY excited about), we realized that i'm going to HAVE TO work part time because of the change in his schedule and being able to pick my son up after school.

suddenly, i'm VERY SCARED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO

Does your sons district have an after school program? I'm in Hicksville and SCOPE runs a program in our district. The main number is (631) 360-0800, call them and ask! ! !

the thing is... that while i was a single mom, i had my son in an after-school program. when we got engaged, THE ONE thing we promised my son was that he would NEVER have to go to afterschool ever again.

my dh will be making more money with this new job, and with my working part time... we'll roughly be in the same place financially. we might even end up ahead because i'll have more time to do things at home, and end up not having to pay others to do it, ie. more cooking at home.

it's just that now that i have to give up so much of my income, i'm suddenly no liking it so much.

i was 'the boss' and a 'single-mom' who took care of everything by myself. i wore that as a badge of honor. now, i'm not going to be the 'big fish in a small pond'.

has anyone else felt like this??
