NWR: Disney Triathlon

thsi is totally random...but i'm wondering if anyone was planning on doing the disney world triathlon next weekend (sept 23)....

i was supposed to do it as a team with my sis (shes doing the swim) but they just sent me an email saying that there is some sort of weird bacteria in central florida lakes lately & they encrouage all the swimmers to wear nose plugs. now im worried bc my sis is still breastfeeding so i dont want her to get sick!

i paid like $170 to register for this thing & its 'non-refundable!' W T F ?!?!?!?!?!?!?

i figured it was a long shot for anyone else on here to be doing it also...but just needed to complain a little! haha

Well, that's a little bizaar! Did you call them and explain your situation? How does your sis feel about the news? If it's a Disney operated event, I can't see why they would not be refunding or coming up with an alternative like kayaking or team canoeing. My dad did a lot of tri and bi-athalons and a lot of them had the swimming replaced with kayaking or canoeing.
