Not that this applies to me at the moment but it is just another random wacky thought...
Is there anyone in your life who you dread contact with because they always bring you down? I mean even if you are happy as all heck, they either purposely (or non-purposely for that matter) make you wish you never had to spend time with them? A person like this:

Yes, and I chose to end the friendship with her b/c I would dread talking to her, and everything I ever said was wrong anyway! I feel like a different person!

Not anymore!!! I successfully cut that cord a few years ago. She doesn't even know I'm getting married even though we have a friend in common.
me too thank god for moving AWAY from friends after college :) after not taking her calls i think she got the hint (i know that's sad to say but true)

I have a nasty old lady that I work with that is always trying to bring people down. I used to have to deal with her a lot, but luckily I've changed departments and don't have to deal with her that much.

WOW! I had no idea that this thread would get so many responses when I originally posted it. Now I am thinking. I spend my day telling fragile teenagers how to deal with people who are negative influences by ignoring or not reacting. It makes me think that I should practice what I preach.

Isn't it amazing!!!! I have a few thirty-something and fourty-something year old children that I work with. Women can be such B..... s. I work w/95% women, it's a rough environment...lol. Mreoww
