NWR- Does anyone else suffer from migraine headaches?

i have suffered with migraine headaches since i was 8 years old. i have taken tylenol, excedrin, an all natural headache remedy, aleve, advil & anything else i can get my hands on. i tried imitrex & maxalt both of which gave me muscle aches in the back on my neck. which i then had to take a muscle relaxant to control. however since i drive i had to stop the muscle relaxants.

for the past two weeks i have been getting the worst migraine headaches every single day. no matter what i take i can't get rid of them. i make sure i don't eat anything which will cause a headache & i am still suffering. anyone have any ideas of what i can do???

go to the doctor. I get them too but not for such an extended period of time. you need to make sure nothing else is wrong. I also always when im outside or near a window wear sunglasses cuz sun aggrivates the condition for me...and maybe visit an eye doc cuz maybe the cause is your vision

i was in a car accident 3 years ago & had damage to my eye so i have to wear sun glasses all the time anyway. i have been to a million doctors & always get told that i have to go in when i have the migraine which is damn near impossible because i'm not getting onto the train or driving with such a bad headache. so i guess until i get health insurance i am going to continue with my extra strength tylenol. thanks for your advice.

I do and i have been suffering with them since about the same age as you, since 7. But for the past 8 months i've been on Topomax (sp?) which my dr prescribed and they have been incredibly controlled, only once in a while will i get a regular headache, i haven't had a migraine since i've been taking it

I take topamax to but it only seems to go away after a few days. You have to take it every day.

Also look into fhuricet (sp? sorry) may phiericet

My mom suffers from them so it is heriditary. she has been to every dr and taken every medicane and test. she goes to a neurologist monthly. she just takes vicodin.

try also the chiropractor. when they adjust you back my migraines go away.

I also suffer from migraines and it can be very annoying...i find that drinking lots of water helps

go to a neurologist immediately.

I get migraines too, and my doctor said that if they start coming every day I should go back in at once. luckily for me, exederin migraine works for me.

how is you caffeine intake? my doctor also said that sudden changes can cause migraines. When I stopped drinking caffeinated drinks, I got a bunch of headaches over the course of one week.
