NWR- Does anyone have PCOS?

(PolyCystic Overies Syndrome) I want to know if anyone has taken anything that has helped, such as birth control? I recently was diagnosed with it and I am not on any type of medication for it. Has anyone had any experience with the Birth Control helping with the pain or mood swings?

i'm curious...you were diagnosed with it, but not given medication? how were you diagnosed? some doctors are quick to diagnose it without all the proper tests. usually if you are not going to TTC for awhile....they put you on BCP first. (which i'm doing)

I had sonograms and internal sonograms done and this is what I was told was the reason why I have been in so much pain. I was supposed to go for a blood test to see if I could be put on BCP, but I wound up finding another job and didn't have my insurance anymore, plus I just kept forgetting.
I have heard other things now about how it could effect you sexually. I have been having some issues lately that have raised concerns and made me think of this. So I am wanting to use BCP and see if that will help with most of the symptoms of PCOS.

I have it. I took A LOT of tests though and I do have a lot of symptons as well - be careful!! I am on BC and its helping to regulate my period (without it its OFF completely). Im also on metformin and seeing a nutritionist to loosE weight.

I have PCOS. I've been on BC for about 8 years and that is how I am able to regulate it. Without BC, I would never get my period. What symptoms are you experiencing??
