If so, can you recommend a mechanic that works on VWs? Need work done to mine and I'm no longer under warranty so I try to avoid the dealer...TIA!!!
PS: I live in Babylon so anywhere in that area is great.

Try National Auto, my best friends dad owns the company, but I haven't talked to him in almost a year.
he's currently located in the Rayco building on the corner of undall road and south sunrise service road in west islip (across from the new atlantic audi) its a blue building. he'll be moving further east on sunrise as soon as his new shop is done (this is a temp location, he sold his old spot)
bff had a VW, but got rid of it 2 years ago, but he used to work on it for her and he's been working on cars since I met him (21 years ago)

09'er crashing....DH owns a VW and swears by H&H Auto in Amityville. It's right across from Big Al's on Merrick Road.

I own a VW and Im not under warrantee anymore either !!!I was lookin for the same thing.. thanks for posting!
