NWR: Does anyone own or lease the VW Taureg?

I test drove it when I was looking for a new car, I had a VW jetta Wolfsburg that I LOVED!!!

I wasn't impressed with how it handled and a few other things in the car and didn't think it was nearly worth the price. Also, I was a bit nervous because VW's are VERY expensive to work on especially when they are out of warranty, even more so this vehicle. For some of the belts to be changed the WHOLE engine needs to be removed to access them.

I bought my jetta new and had it for 4 years and had no problems. But 1 month after it was out of warranty EVERYTHING started falling apart and I had to get rid of it.

I decided on a Mazda CX-7. It is a cross over vehicle so it handles like a card but in the body of an SUV. I LOVEEEEEE this car. It is supper peppy, tons of room, handles like a dream. I got it fully loaded with the navigation package and its fantastic!

I had VW Jetta as well and had nothing but problems with it. I do love the Taureg though!

The first car I ever had was a VW Golf and I loved that car, it was great to me...we just bought the Passat and so far so good...and it is an older model so now hearing the both of you I am hoping we will be ok with it!

Did you check out the BMW X5- it handles so much better than the toureg

eta- I had a VW Passat for 6 years and never had major problems, but my sister bought one the year after me and its cost her a fortune- just depends on the car I guess

See and I HATED how the X5 handled......I defnitely like teh CX-7's handling over everythign else.....

I did..the car I had before mine now was a bmw 3 series. When I looked into it they wanted a ridiculous amount of money for it. I think right now though with the Toureg they aren't having great deals either and the price is high too. I love it for a family car though and the dog...can't get it out of my head!

Go test drive bunch of cars. Definitely try the CX-7. I can fit 2 labs and a rotti in the back! DEFINITELY what ever you do though ge thte all weather mats for hte back

I had a VW Jetta and a BMW 3 series and nothing rides like a BMW. I traded b/c I wanted a truck and I love my Land Rover.

I absolutely love the land rover. I forgot about that one!

I had a jetta and while nothing MAJOR went on it, the little things that did were ridiculous to fix. I liked the way it drove and all, but I would never get a VW again because of the issues I had with it. And a lot of them were not covered on the warranty. Thank god my FH is a body guy who can also do mechanical work!

I have a Suzuki XL-7 now and I looooove it. Drives great and have never had a problem with it.

I think the Touregs are CRAZY overpriced.
