NWR- Dog boarding

I need to board my dog for the day/ night of the wedding. Does anyone have any recommendations of places in suffolk county. I tried to look up reviews for Hounds Town but there are not many. TIA

Hounds town was ok for big dogs, but we chose petsmArt for our lil guys. They seemed ok except both were nervous (read: stomach issues) as they've never been boarded before. There's a good place in medford too bark & biscuit? Also I would go to Eastport vet boarding but it was out of our way.

Check out fonab kennels in Commack. They're fantastc and very reasonably priced. They don't have a website but if you google reviews of them you'll find at least 40+ positive reviews. We brought our furbaby there and he had the best time, they match up your dog with another dog for the duration of their stay based on size, personality and age. We're boarding him there for our wedding and most likely our honeymoon. HTH!

My husband's friend used pet smart and it was excellent. I always see dogs playing in the area and they look happy.

I would research their costs first. Willow Pet Hotel has a lot of hidden costs. Like, it's extra if you want them to play with/pet your dog. It's called 'cuddle time' or something ridiculous like that. I looked into them for a vacation that we took in August. This place cost almost as much as our vacation! We ended up leaving our dog with a family member, but I'll look into some of these places mentioned for my wedding day too!

if this is a double post I'm sorry, but It doesn't look like my comment posted.
anyway pet smart I'd great, BUT just an fyi they have a built breed policy..... meaning pits, bulldogs, and boxer are not allowed in the play area! so they would only be in cage out room you pay for ALL DAY! unless you opt to pay extra for them to have an employee take them out for personal play time. ( that's expensive)
if you have a non bully breed out small dog I have heard nothing but good things! I know people that drop their dogs off daily bc they work long hours and it was right across the street.
but I have never used them bc I don't want my baby locked in a cage ask day, we have a pit!

we are leaving ours with my moh parents ( they don't know it yet lol) but they live him, he's always welcome there and he loves thier dog to do they have a blast! is there anyone that's not in the wedding that can watch your dog?

I always use Mattituck Laurel Vet Hospital. I use them for my vet as well, and the staff is the best! I wouldn't leave my puppy anywhere else.

Yes I agree, they are very pricey. But they had bad experiences at other places that they don't care how much it costs, they would rather have a peace of mind knowing that they are in good hands. It wasn't any place that any of the ladies above have mentioned so I'm sure they are all good

We board at the HoundsTown in Farmingdale. I think they're great and my dog loves it. He gets lots of play time. The people are very nice and friendly. I can see into the kennel area when I walk in the door. Pricing is reasonable and no 'nickle and diming' for extras. One price gets him play time, and fed his own food/treats. Many places I looked at charged extra for those things. Also, I've never had a problem making a last minute reservation.

Try Quail Run in Medford. We've used them a few times, and they aren't locked up in cages at all, they have freedom to run. www.quailrunkennels.com

I just checked out the Pet Hotel at Petsmart (not all locations have them). It was really cheap, and you can get them a suite for about $40 a night!
