NWR_ Dr Phil Today

Has anyone watched Dr Phil yesterday or today? Its about this 19 year old whose parents believe he is a sexual predator, that he had even molested his little sister. This is extremely dilsturbing, and awful for the family. WHY do they want to display this on TV? WHY do they want to share their family issues with the whole world? I don't get it.

Why? Free trip and money. Plain and simple. I once sat in the audience of a Ricki Lake show and saw the panel of guests walking around after talking abou their free trip to NY. There are always reasons. I personally think Dr. Phil is a jack-a**.

I honestyl felt really bad for the kid. His parents were so mean to him. I can understand being hurt and angry, but they had no compassion for him at all, and he's obviously just a troubled kid. Looking at him, and the way he acted, he seemed a lot younger than 19, and really confused, and he admitted that he needed help. I really dislike his parents.

No he lied through the whole thing. At the end of the show he was crying that he wanted help. He father told him he was dead to him and his brothers told him they hated him. It was just altogether awful.

Oh my goodness! I knew he was lying! He kept biting his lip to keep from smirking when he lied...like the fourth graders I teach do. A lot different when you are an adult! What a sick kid! What is being done with him? Did he also molest his baby sister?

This is a very disturbed individual. I hope he accepts the help he is being offered before he assaults someone else.

I missed part 2 but read it on his webiste. I don't think the parents were mean at all!! They're trying to protect all their children, and if that means giving some tough love to the oldest son, then he needs to deal with it. He broke the trust w/his brothers. You can't fault them for that. I'm sure they want him to get better, but the trust needs to be rebuilt. It may take years; it may never happen. I'm glad he's going to get help so he doesn't hurt anyone else.

Didn't Dr. Phil get a divorce from his 1st wife? If so, I love how he gives marital advice

I don't know if he is married twice, but just because someone is divorced doesn't necesarily mean they don't know anything. For example, I have a friend whose marraige broke up after a year, and it had absolutely NOTHING to do with him. If he were to get married again and then want to give me advice 20 some odd years later I wouldn't discount it just because his first marriage didn't work....
