So I think I have a really bad ear infection but dont have health insurance It hurts so bad and only in my right ear. Drinking or swallowing hurts... Does anyone have any home remedies that I can try to make the pain go away? Im willing to try anything at this point...

over the counter nasal spray
feel better!
i just had one two weeks ago...it's horrible!

Do you have a fever?
If it's actually an infection, there's not much you can do, take Motrin, but you need antibiotics
BUT, if you don't have a fever it might not be infection, so try taking Sudafed. I thought I had an awful ear infection and the dr looked and there was nothing there. The change in seasons was making me nasally and I had fluid in my ear. 2 doses of sudafed cleared it right up. Feel better!

thanks I tried sudafed and usually that helps right away but this time its not doing anything I dont think I have a fever but I have never had it hurt this bad if I even lean my head to the right a little it kills me. Ugh now I gotta go get ready to go to work with little kids from 2-7.....

my co-worker told me warm olive oil on a cotton ball helps. Warm the oilve oil, dip the cotton ball into it, and put it in your ear. But thats only for ear ACHES, not infection!

I'm sorry, do you have any antibiotics left from another time? FH had some left over from getting his appendix out and he used them for his tooth infection until he got to the dentist...The dentist prescribed the same thing so he could've saved himself a trip and taking off work!

you need to go to the doctor ASAP!!!!
if you don't want to pay for a doctor's visit, then go to a health clinic - they are usually cheaper or go to the ER but you need antibitoics.
not to be an alarmist but anything that has to do with your mouth or ear - and is infected can cause severe injuries if nto treated - blindness and all sorts of bad news problems.
please don't wait and don't make it about money.

there is a brand simalson( i dont think I spelled it right) they make an over the counter ear pain relief. I use it for my son when they have ear infections. But if it is an ear infection then you need to get antiobiotics.
