NWR: EATING HEALTHY

Ok so everyone knows I have been doing my best to slim down. I have been going to the gym three times a week (i have lost a total of 9 pounds since early February).
I hate the word DIET bcuz it makes u think of everything you CANT eat and i never stick to one so i have been trying to just change my eating habits.
I went to Trader Joe's on Saturday and can i just say it is now my FAVORITE supermarket ever! ok so maybe i was delusional but i SWEAR everyone in there was thin! lol and everyone was reading the labels on everything they picked up. I bought a few minor things to start my new 'eating healthy kick'. while i was there they had a little demonstration of a quick lunch/snack you can make at home! DELICIOUS!!!!
It was a whole wheat pizza crust, and they spread mascarpone cheese all over the crust and finished with TAPENADE a vegetable type spread. it comes in a clear jar and its basically tomatoes, olives, red peppers, garlic and lemon juice all diced up really small and made into a spread). Put in the oven for 15 minutes and WALA! a healthy alternative to pizza. and it was REALLY GOOD! Even FH ate it and LOVED IT!

*EDITED to add the name of the vegetable spread. lol

What ive noticed (I am an ex-diet obsesser) is that if its natural and comes from the earth, you can eat it.

I noticed since I stopped eating things that are frozen and things that are high in highfructose corn syrup... that Ive lost the 5 lbs i gained.

FH is an obsessed man when it comes to organic and healthy food (Hes stick thin 2% body fat--hate it!) and thats all he eats. Doesnt eat anything with fake sugar, etc. Once I started doing that ive been feeling better than ever...

I am a health food nut. I always eat foods rich in protein and healthy carbs such as brown rice, whole grain bread and organic fiber cereal. Trader Joes is awesome. Try their Organic O's cereal. Love it!!!! It's so tasty.

Once you start eating healthy and do it for a long time like me, it's hard to go back to eating crap. I have been eating healthy since 2005. And, remember- it's okay to splurge on junk food once in a while. It helps you stay on track!

I commend you for being able to lose 9lbs already!

I too hate to think I am on a DIET and I have been 'rebellious' against myself. It ***** b/c I know how to eat, I just dont want to eat right all the time and then the stupid sugar makes me crave it more!

FH and I are following the meal plan Lauren (mrsdrinkwater) follows - we're eating smaller high protein meals more often. I feel really great! I only lost about a pound in the week but fh lost 5! Amazing!
