NWR-Emerill Pots and Pans....

We registered at BBB yesterday. While we were there we saw Emerill pots and pans. The one guy there said they were great because the copper bottom keeps the bottom of the pan from burning, and yet the girl in the registry dept. said they are great but you have to stir every few minutes otherwise what you are cooking will burn because they have the copper bottom. Does anybody have these? If so...what do you think of them? If they are not great can you recommend another brand? TIA

I don't have them, but I think that copper bottoms are superior for heat distribution, so I don't think that they get extra hot at all... I have Food Network pots from Kohls (not copper bottom) that I think are awesome though!

Emerilware is made by All Clad but it is made overseas and it isn't three ply so that might be what they are talking about about having to watch it before it burns. I would check out All Clad stainless steel and Calphalon One. Good luck!
