NWR: Extremely Upsetting!

I don't know if this is still around now (keep in mind i've been living out of the country for quite a few years now.) But back when I was working here I ended up getting sick and had to be in and out of work for doctors apptms and such. (turned out to be nothing big) It was causing a bit of a prob and so my boss brought me in and told me about something that I believe is called FMLA leave (or something like that)

He said that it was different from disability and that you can choose to take it when either you or a close family member is sick and it will be relatively short term. Its an act or a law that allows you to do this in NY(i'm not sure if other states too) and it guarantees your job when you come back and still covers your medical insurance (I don't remember if you get paid anything else but I doubt it.)

Like I said this was quite a few years back so I may be remembering wrong or it may no longer be available but it might be worth looking into.

Once again, the LIW prayers worked!
I got a phone call this evening and my sick bank was granted for 30 days!!!
I can be worry-free for a little while longer...Yayyy!
