NWR: Eye twitch..

Does anyone know how to stop it?

My eye has been twitching for MONTHS..like 6-7 months now.. non stop! It's getting reallyyyy annoying and I don't know how to stop it

The worst is when you're trying to have a serious conversation and the eye is twitching, and you feel like everyone is lookign at it and you don't know what to do about it.. Ughhhh FML!

it happens to me every once in a while... ive never actively tried to stop it other than concentrating on something else... then it usually stops on its own

I dont know...my eye was twitching like that for about a month and then it just stopped. I thought it was allergies or stress or something.

Maybe ask your doctor?

sometimes that's a sign of low potassium. I know it sounds weird, but go eat a banana.

I get them too btw.

do you try massaging it with clean hands??
i know in sports medicine they always said to massage a twitch so im guessing this is the same

Eat the banana, drink h2o and relax. It may be totally stress related....

Which doctor should I consult? Like a regular family dr? I'm so sick and tired of this..

I feel like crying every time it starts twitching (which is about every 30-45 min)

Happens to me when i don't have enough salt in my diet. I can't eat a lot in the first place so i get muscle cramps and your eye is basically a muscle so it starts to twitch.

I have heard it being a potasium issue too and it could def be stress.

That happens to me when my anxiety and stress get high.

It's stress related.

My Jr. yr my current bf/ex of mine were going through MAJOR issues and I was so stressed out. I can remember sitting in my psych class unable to concentrate cuz all I could think of was my twitching eye.
