NWR- eyebrow wax question

NWR- eyebrow wax question

I got waxed yesterday and the woman gave me a burn! It hurts REALLY bad! I put aloe vera on it. Does anyone know how long that takes to go away and if it will leave a scar? This is the first time this has happened to me but I am never going back!

I think it takes about a week to go away. That part of your skin is very thin. I'm sorry to hear that, being that it's a burn it might leave a little scar.
You may want to stock up on vitamin E oil. Whoever the lady was needs to get her license revoked...that's just not cool..she should know better.

Thanks I hope so! I am canceling my appointment I made near my wedding date! (yes, I made a wax appt 3 months in advance!) Maybe I'll pass it over to my MOH who uses the same person. She claims this happens to her all the time and for some reason doesn't care

09er crashing! this happened to me years ago (the last time i ever waxed!) i think it lasted for about a week. the first few days are the worst...just put tons of aloe vera on it and take some tylenol or advil. hope you feel better!

this SHOULD not happen at all! the wax was too hot and/or your skin is too sensitive for it. i used to go to a really expensive salon and never had a problem. i tried to save a few bucks and that's when i got burned.

btw it didn't scar! so you should be ok. when it's healed a little you can cover with makeup til it's totally better

UGHHHH this has happened to me!

I got first aid burn cream from the drug store, which helped a lot, and took motrin for the pain. You shouldn't have it for more than a week.

Try threading. It's a little longer of a procedure than waxing, but you're guaranteed not to get burnt, and it lasts a lot longer than threading.

Thanks for the peace of mind. The most frustrating part is my mom specifically said they look fine the way they are and I shouldn't get them done. She's away on vacation but when she gets back she's going to be so annoyed. She hates when these things happen, as do I! All I wanted was a little mid-week beauty pick me up and what did I get? A nasty burn

Agreed. And my MOH says this happens to her all the time!

I used to get burned all the time until I moved on to threading. It'll scab and go away in a few days and the pain should be gone in a day or two, don't be scared (scared not scarred, haha)

lol, thanks. As long as it doesn't make a scar I can just put it behind me. I'm so annoyed, I have been getting my eyebrows waxed since I'm in HS and this NEVER happened before!

To top it off, I also think she made them too thin! I don't know why I went in the first place, they looked better before I went! FH says he likes them better the way they are now, but u know he's FH and he HAS to say things like that!

It won't leave a scar, I've been burned plenty of times and they never left a scar, thank god!

This is the reason I NEVER get waxed anymore and besides it not being soooo sanitary.....I have been doing threading for about 10 yrs now....Never have any kind of problems....
