When FH turned 30, we both had mono and he had a horrible b-day. He figured out that he would be turning 33 on 11/11/11 forever ago, and he always wanted to do something really big. We are planning this huge wedding, so another party seems silly. We have no money but I want to do something really cool. Any ideas?

Re: NWR: FH's b-day
My FH is turning 30 this month and B.B.KINGS is have some metal cover bands playing the weekend of, so I sent out an email to everyone that we are having the bday there. so 40$ all you can drink table service and concert, he doesn't know the plans yet. But I cant wait! He's gonna love it
figured it was the only way to have the big bday without going extra broke. Cant afford to do the big bday party I would have love to throw for him but this is good. Everyone pays there ticket and it still something awesome!
Maybe if you find something where everyone would pay there share you can still do the big thing without going broke. Or a weekend getaway with close friends ? Like rent a house upstate or something, weekend drunk away as we call them

those are some great ideas. I should see when Mindless Self Indulgence is playing (his favorite band). His best man lives in Vegas, I wanted to fly him out but he can't get off work then and again for the wedding. I just don't want his absence to be to obvious for FH!
