NWR- Florida Long Weekend Ideas

Looking to take a long weekend trip with FH to Florida in April, but we dont know where to go/stay.
Areas we have ruled out are Key West- too far, Miami- too much of a scene- St Augustine- not hot enough. Looking for someplace relaxing and low key on the beach.
Was think about someplace in the Ft Meyers area maybe but have never been there.

Siesta Key! It's near Sarasota (right outside of it) and it's pretty much my favorite place.

I go there a few times a year, since my parents live a little north of Ft. Meyers and my sister lives in Sarasota.

My brother is from Destin, FL, the panhandle and my siblings and I go there during the summer. It's HOT there during the summer. Don't know about now. Might just be in the 60's/70's. but it's the quieter Miami.

Naples is quiet and relaxing since you're not looking for a scene. Fort lauderdale has great restaurants and is fun too.
