FMIL asked me if I would be her Facebook friend if she started an account....I said no. I didn't mean to be mean...I just don't want her FB stalking me! I think she got offended... Is this wrong?

My FMIL asked me to be FB friends a while back, and I ignored. I don't have my own parents friended on there, so I wouldn't have FH's. I think boundaries are a good thing.

Aww I think I would be hurt also. I added FMIL and then 8 months later I deleted her. She hasn't said anything to me bc I don't think she noticed (she isn't that good with the computer)

If you are concerned that you might have offended her, maybe you can re-add her but limit what she can see on your page with your privacy settings?

LOL I accepted my MIL but I know that my MOM would be this same way if FH had her as a friend.. she doesnt have facebook. Either way, I imagine she knows you weren't tryin to be rude so don't feel bad.

I have a separate section for my parents, FH parents, and certain aunts and uncles. Not that I write anything terrible but I write something about being upset and everyone would be in my business. I found it made life easier if I just limited them. Friends know your just complaining. lol

My mom is not my fb friend but my fh family is all over my page. Even helped fmil make her account. I don't mind tho, I am who I am and fh loves me his family doesn't have too. Lmao
