NWR: For all animal lovers please sign........

There is this guy in Honduras that thinks it is totally acceptable to take a dog from the streets, tie him to a wall in a studio and starve him to death. They consider this art and I think it is totally disgusting. People were just standing around emotionless watching this poor dog starve to death until he eventually died. Please sign this petition and hopefully it will make a difference.

I am totally sickened by this and very upset. I cannot see or hear about these things because they upset me so much but a fellow animal lover told me in order to stop the abuse you have to get the word out.

i just checked snopes.com and while the status of this story is 'undetermined', it might make some of you feel better to read the entire page...

it seems that there is a POSSIBILITY that the artist's intention was to make people THINK the dog was starving to death, but that he was really taking care of the dog at night when the exhibit was closed...and that the point of the demonstration was to make people think about the fact that stray dogs are passed every day on the street and people are apathetic, but when it's put in the public eye in a demonstration, that's when people care.

if that is the case i don't necessarily AGREE w it, but i HOPE that's what really happened and that the dog was being fed at night when the exhibit was closed. and just knowing that is a possibility made me feel better after reading about it, so here is the link to the page and hopefully it will make some of you feel a little better too...

i couldnt actually understand the first link that was posted - it was written poorly and it totally confused me hopefully this better explains the situation....

Oh my God I just signed the petition!!!! I saw the pics yesturday and I too cannot take those cruel heartless things people do to animals. I feel the same should be done to them!!! Glad u poste it here!

This article was written much more clear---I guess I understood the first one because I had the email that went along with it. In any case this does make me feel a little better to think of that possibility but I dont think it is true. How could the dog be fed and cared for but look so emaciated and have sores all over his body. If he was in fact fed after hours I dont think he would look like this. Not to mention the fact that the dog supposedly died from this mistreatment.

Regardless of whether or not it's true, it's still uncertain and that may be the artist's way out...I can't stand to see animals treated cruelly
