I currently have two dogs Harley and Samantha. Samantha was left at my house after an argument with FH's mother. His mother no longer wants the dog so we gladly took her in, but now my dog is really acting up. Peeing and pooping all over the house. I don't know what to do. We want to keep her I am just not sure if we can at this point. What would you do?

Hmmmm maybe the dog is jelouse of the other dog? Try spending more time with your dog....Like 'alone time'? Maybe the dog feels like he's being replaced.

i agree - your dog is probably acting up because he hasn't adjusted to the change yet. it sounds like he's 'marking his territory' in the house to show the new dog exactly where she stands. having been through similar 'clean-up' experiences with housetraining a dog, i know it can be hugely frustrating. i'd call your vet and ask him/her what to do - make sure you can answer questions about how the dog's routine has changed and how the 2 dogs act toward each other (do they play? fight? ignore each other?).

if they don't fight then you may have to show a bit more attention to her for a bit in order for her to be adjusted. I am sure she is freaking out over the entire situation. I wouldn't lock her in a crate if she is not use to it maybe put kiddie gates up in the kitchen and see if the helps out for a bit.
Give it a month or two if it she does not adjust or you notice any difference in behavior such as shaking, not eating, vomiting, biting, barking, etc then seek a vet.

Make sure you clean the area where the dog is 'pooping and peeing' with NATURES MIRACLE to really get rid of the smell or the dogs will keep 'spraying' to mark their territory, bleach and regualre commercial cleaners don't work. They probably need time to adjust to each other. ake sure you give each 'special time'.

Thanks girls for all of your suggestions. I have been dealing with this for about 2 months now. Harley gets so much attention. I think probably even more than when he was alone. Also I have all of the baby gates. I feel like I am witts end. We attempted last year to adopt a dog and we had the same issues with Harley. We ended up having to give the dog to another family to adopt her. I think Harley is the type of dog that is only happy when he is the center of attention. I can't tell how many different things the vet has suggested and none of them work. It is only getting worse now.

They need to time to adjust (I have 4 chihuahua's I got them all at seperate times) try to give them both equal attention... and maybe alittle more on the side to your dog ~ might feel jealous... (give them both alone time with you) I know it sounds like a lot of work in the beginning...but it will be worth it! give them there equal space and maybe confine to one area while you are at work... and in no time i am sure you will be one big happy family! FH if you need anything!
