NWR: For those of us trying to lose weight.
I've spent the last six months with my own struggles and being tested for a bunch of issues, but one person has had a great success that's ended up inspiring me. I'm incredibly proud of FH. He grew up in a really, really big family and had no idea how to eat healthy.
Since January he's lost 60 lbs. He started running with me from time to time (though it was a fight to convince him that he wouldn't have a heart attack) and when I moved in I started making meals for him which meant way less fast food, low fat, watching his calories and lowering sugar (his dad is diabetic and once he was told he was borderline pre-diabetic)
So sixty pounds later and he went from like a 46 waist into 36's, he was in size 24 shirts and now 17's are falling off of him, he's ridiculous he's done so well and it's been about 90% off of dieting alone.
Last night was the icing on the cake because I still have to push him a little bit because he gets complacent. His goal is to be 200 lbs (he's over 6'2'') and we were running and I told him I was going to keep going and he told me he couldn't and he did, with no trouble, he just doesn't have the confidence still. The other day I caught him doing sit ups (but in such a way he's gonna break his neck).
Below, a photo from the end of December with coworkers at 340 lbs and this week at the Yankee game at 280, not the best photo but the most recent.
