So as many of you know, I took the plunge and got those babies out on Monday I can't wait to eat a sandwich again.
Anyway its 5 days later and I'm still in lots of pain, so I'm wondering for those who got their wisdom teeth pulled how long the recovery period was. I had 2 impacted ones and I'm still on a diet of really soft foods and it is still really hurting me when I eat, rinse, or just at random.

i think i had one impacted, two that were through the gum. i was feeling much better in about ten days. hopefully you will be feeling better w/in two weeks . for you

You should be feeling better in a couple of days. When they are impacted it takes longer to recover. Feel Better!!!!

I had two at a time done. I noticed the ones that were badly impacted took a little longer then the ones that weren't too impacted. Also I think bottom ones take longer too.

everyone is different my fh was sick and in pain for a week after, my friend only a few days, and my other friend almost a month. I guess it depends on the person. just keep doing what you are doing as the pain gets a little better you can ease your way back into regular foods. just dont push it

I had all four out, but no impacted so I was fine in 2 days.
I would call your dentist on Monday if you are not feeling better.

Two of my wisdom teeth were impacted (I had all 4 pulled at once). Within about 6 days I was eating more solid foods and was in a lot less pain. Like others have said, the recovery tends to be different for everyone.

Thanks girls, I actually went back to my surgeon's office this morning. He said it's healing fine but his responses tend to be very vague. Like when I ask about the recovery period, what to expect, etc he said it really depends on the individual. I know that's the case here but it's just SO frustrating. In the meantime I'm hoping to feel a little bette today because (warning- this is going to sound gross).............. he pulled out a big nasty clump of food that was trapped near the incisions...........It was SOOOO GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
