did anyone use a mortgage broker?? and if yes, how was that?
i was wondering what the process was like and if it was worth it

Re: NWR: for those who just bought a home
We're using a mortgage broker from our bank, so we know him, and he works out of the bank and holds his own hours outside bank hours to help us.

We are using a mortgage broker since he's a friend of FHs.
If he wasn't a friend, we'd go directly through a bank.

Our mortgage broker was a client of ours We got an amazing rate that a bank could not get for us. We went with countrywide wich is a very large company HTH

i got mine thru bank of america. the had the best rate than any other place(including Countrywide.) for me at the time for a 30 year fixed.
a broker just goes and shops around for you - so if you know what you are doing and have the time, why pay a broker when you can do it yourself?

We are using a broker because he is a friend of DHs - otherwise we would go through a bank. Since he is a friend I feel I can trust him.

We used the mortgage broker that our realtor provides. She's been great to work with and did a lot to get the best deal for us!! She works closely with our real estate agent and the lines of communication are always open.

I say we got a great rate countrywide because we did a No Income Verification Mortgage 30 year fixed. Our rate is very low for that type of loan

I used a broker. She came highly recommended by a friend and then our real estate agent recommended the SAME broker! She made the process absolutely effortless.

I didn't use a broker. I shopped around for the best rate. I really didn't see the need for a mortgage broker personally.

hmm..thats odd - those are usually a higher interst rate bc the lender is taking more risk bc they arent verifying your income - but if you said it was your friend - thats probably why
