How is the area? How is the school district? Some houses over there seem cheap 300,000s!!!
I don't know much about the area. TIA

Re: NWR: Franklin Square
It's good. I'm not sure about elementary schools but for HS your in the Sewanahaka District. H. Frank Carey would be the HS they go to. The entire district includes Elmont, New Hyde Park Mem., Floral Park Mem., and Sewanahaka H.S.
It's a good area though.

DH grew up in Franklin Square and his parents and sister still live there, they love the area and his sister plans on never leaving there-she has an 18 month old. We live in the town right next door in West Hempstead

Re: NWR: Franklin Square
My cousin and her husband have lived there for at least 25 years, and they have raised 3 children there: 24, 22, 18. The kids never went to the public schools there (went to Catholic), but they love it there. Everyone is so friendly and I love the neighborhood...plus its a town that's close to everything! Good luck!

Sorry, 2011 bride crashing. Be careful of Franklin SQ. It borders Elmont. Just be careful of the sd's.

The houses that I saw in the high 300,000s were Franklin Square school district. Is all of Franklin Sq school district good? Any streets to avoid? FM if you want please
FH has a friend that lives over there, so we will ask him too. We know the area something, just not familiar with it 100%. The one house I liked is off of New Hyde Park Road. Thanks!

Your fine off NHP road. The area of FS that borders Elmont is actually the 'better' part of Elmont.

FS is surrounded by Elmont on the West side about a block East of Meachem Ave., Valley Stream on the south side by the SS parkway & Franklin Hospital, West hempstead on the east side, and Floral Park/ NHP on the North side lol.
