NWR - Free NYC

Hi guys. My FMIL is in the ny for the first time and we want to take her sightseeing. Due to the travel/wedding expenses we are limited with funds so we want to do free or very cheap stuff. These are suggestions I've gotten so far:

Times Square
Grand Central Station
Amer Museum of Nat History
Met
Library
Central Park Zoo
Staten Island Ferry

we're going in this Thursday and prob either mon or tues of next week if it doesn't rain.

Not sure if she is intrested but we went to the Train Museum in Brooklyn and it was great..they have trains through out the years

I got to see the ones with wicker seats that my mom used to tell me about...also it's in an acutal train station

I don't remember how expensive it was, but I always love the Liberty Island/Ellis Island tour, especially since it's so nice out

yeah, that would be nice

If it's nice out, head downtown to the South Street Seaport. I used to live down there and miss it terribly

Also, you might want to head up Lincoln Center so you can see the entrance to the park and all the horse and carriages.

MOMA is free on fridays.
Bronx Zoo is pay what you want on wednesday

This will cost $15 but today's New York Groupon is for NY Waterways tours---Staten Island Ferry is free but this is cool b/c guided tours of landmarks, etc.
