Update: ok so they talked no yelling or crying THANK GOD BUt no reconsiliation either oh well FSIL tried

I'm glad that they talked. Unfortunately, my FMIL and FSIL are not talking at all. I wish they would because they NEED to be in each others' lives right now. The only problem is that I really don't want to get involved because I don't want to be accused of taking sides AND I think their issues stem from years ago. They need each other's help and they don't even know it because they don't want to talk to each other. So I'm definitely glad that your FSIL at least made an effort. My FSIL has tried a couple of times and everytime she thinks something is fine, she's wrong and they go back to not talking.
