Does anyone know of anything or anywhere to go over memorial day weekend on long island? Anything going on at the beach? restaurants? bars? shows? music? Fh is coming to NY that weekend and I wanted to do something different that weekend. we aren't very familiar with LI yet. Help...
Oh definitely go over to Fire Island. It's so much fun there in the summer. You can lay on the beach all day, go out for a nice dinner and go out afterwards all night long. I love it there.
Check out Flynn's in Ocean Bay Park on Fire Island. They have a reggae band. We go their every year. Otherwise there are a bunch of Ocean Beach bars as well.
I would stay away from parts of Jones Beach all weekend in the early afternoon because there is going to be an air show and it usually gets decently crowded and hectic. But if that's cool to you then I'd say do that!
where on fire island do you suggest and how far is it from garden city???
