Have any of you taken this bus? The stop for fung wah bus is on canal street and it goes to Boston. It's $15 each way - let me know if you've used them before.
Thanks.

My law school roommate used to take those ALL THE TIME We were really poor in school, so it was the only way she could visit her college friends on a regular basis. She seemed okay with it so I don't think it was too sketchy

I'm glad someone has heard of it! FH told me that they play kung fu movies during the ride - is he kidding?

Re: NWR: fung wah buses
my friends take it all the time. One of my other girl friends, suggested Grey Hound though, they had (not sure if they run it anymore) $20 weekend specials. She says their buses are cleaner...

I like those buses over Greyhound. The Greyhound depot in a lot of cities - DC for example - is very scary!!!

Re: NWR: fung wah buses
i live in boston and use it all the time to go to manhattan - it is a direct shot no stops - matters what bus you get on what they play - in Boston you go to the bus station which is in a nice area and can hop on the T to anywhere

Re: NWR: fung wah buses
I've used it a lot - it really is great!!!
And the Kung Fu Movies is bull.
Definitely worth the $15, and I found it to be mostly college students.

I use it a lot, they stop in CT so you can get McDonalds. I also use one that goes to Philadelphia for 20.00 round trip.
ETA: there is also a huge improvement on the Boston side, now the bus pulls out of the station, you use to have to buy your ticket in Boston Chinatown at a pastry shop.

They always tld me to take those to Philly instead of NJ Transit. I never did, but I know a lot of people who swear by them!

I posted on the other site too, but my friend took this to Boston every weekend this year. She said it was fine, mostly college students. She just said the drivers drive fast & crazy.
