NWR: Girls w/ Highlights

this might be a really dumb question. i have blonde highlights. Is it OK to go into the pool and get my hair wet? will my hair turn green??

As soon as you get out, wash it off with hose water or shower water. My whole head is practically bleached and it has been since i was in 6th grade LOL. Ive had a lot of experience with it.

I haven't had a prob with it... I used to use sun-in yrsss back and everyone complained of green hair and mine always stayed fine... Maybe if you dont take a shower the same day, the chlorine has time to set in & will turn your hair green

I have reg highlights now and so far, so good

i dont have highlights but my sister does and she goes in the pool with no problem so it should be ok as long as you wash it out after. enjoy swimming

put conditioner in your hair before you swim..if yo swim a lot..or buy matrix essentials so silver shampoo..its purple and will neutralize any yellow or green tones in your hair..

its more for the yellow tones..but works great with pool wter

i do hair and thats what i tell clients to do

Thanks for your replies..i just got my highlights done again last year but havn't been swimming since so i was afraid of what would happen to my hair! Thanks for your help!
