NWR: Girls whose BCPs are triphasic, do you notice weight gain or...
breakout? I was on Yasmin, which is monophasic, but switched to Velivet/Cyclessa because it's $10! It's triphasic but according to my gyn 'similar' to Yasmin. I'm in week 3 and feeling moody and crampy....wondering your experiences if your pill is triphasic. Thanks.

Yes...I couldn't take the triphasic pills. I had to switch ASAP. I suffered weight gain, mood swings, migraines, you name it.

they just did a study that BC pills do not cause weight gain
but I feel like they make it harder to lose weight

i read that too - I was gaining a lot of WATER weight, and it was hard to lose. Once I got off, voila, water weight gone. It stinks.

well i'm not sure what to do. i have refills of the old pill and the new...so i may go back. my pharmacist (I called!) thinks I should stick it out.

I was on Yasmin but my GYN said I had to come off because of the diuretic. She put me o Estrostep because she said it was very similar to Yasmin as well minus the diuretic. I love it and have experienced no problems.

when I was on BC, I gain alot of weight and wanted to eat all of the time. I had a very hard time trying to lose it. Once I got off of it, the weight came right off. I need to go back on after the wedding to help my breakouts on my face.

it should say so on your info with the pill. Or, ask your doc.
I am going back to Yasmin. I feel sick to my stomach.
