My friends are having a going away party...I was just going to bring alcohol....
Do people get gifts for these sort of things? They're moving to florida....

I would bring something too. A nice bottle of wine is always good if they drink it.

You could get them maps of the area they are moving to or a new address book and have everyone at the party fill in their addresses/ phone numbers.

If you want to bring something else besides the alcohol, maybe you could just get them a gift card to home depot... this way its less for them to pack, and they can pick up any odds and ends after theyve moved in and see what they need? (or anther store like Bed bath and beyond)... when we moved, we pratically lived in home depot for a couple of weeks, so i thin something like that is really practical
