NWR: Going to Portland, OR this weekend...

for a friend's show. He's a dancer in a company out there and we're going to check it out.

We're only going for 2 nights, so I was trying to figure out what to bring. As of this morning (before I left for work), I thought I was ok, but then I spoke to my other friend that's going and she's like, 'Oh it's hipster out there ( ) and all they wear is jeans, tanks and flats; it's very casual. Also, bring sneakers because we might do some hiking.'

Now, i'm going a little nuts. I have an hour between the time I get home from work to when we have to leave and I have to revamp my half of the suitcase. WT F?! The weather isn't going above 77 either, so it's not like i can wear flip flops and I don't have good flats!!!

WTH am I going to bring?!?! I can't stand hipsters, sorry if anyone considers them self one, but it's just not my thing, sorry.

PS: I don't like how I look in jeans and tanks, so my only option is leggings.

Sorry, kinda venting, but I also need some help with clothes. Should I stick to my all black NY attire? Maybe swap out a couple of collar shirts for dumpy tshirts? Should I bring a pair of jeans?

i would keep most of what you have, but replace one or two things with plain t-shirts or plain tank tops.......I would def bring a pair of jeans since it doesn't seem scorching hot there.....maybe you can wear them if you guys go out to eat or something.........I would just bring a tshirt or two and leggings - its only two days though so I don't think its too too much to worry about!!!!

okay, so now that I let that out...

My friend went to college in Eugene. And yes, it's VERY casual there. People wore wooden clogs like, everywhere.

I wouldn't do black tie. Maybe nice jeans and a nice top, not too dressy, and boots?

Definitely bring sneakers...you will regret it if you don't go hiking out there.

This is EXACTLY what was going through my head when she said the word 'Hipster.'

I'll definitely bring sneakers. The hiking annoyed me at first, but then I remembered that I kinda like doing that .
For the show, I have an Express Dress that's not too dressy, almost business like. I can wear it with black kitten heels.

I'll bring a pair of jeans, but NOT my skinny jeans since everyone and their dirty, yet clean hipster mother will be wearing skinny jeans. I have a nice regular boot cut pair that i'll pack + some tees. Ugh, this is annoying.
