NWR: Gold poll

NWR: Gold poll

Hey Girls,
Some of you know I am thinking about being a gold party specialist. However, I am concerned because I don't know how people feel about these parties. If I commit to this, I want to make sure people would actually do it. So I am taking a general poll. TIA!

I know, I did post it on NB. I am just really torn.
Sure, it is when people get together and sell their gold for cash. Someone (which would be be if I do it) comes to your house and I would test out your gold and give you cash for it. Kinda like, when women get together for LIa Sophia but instead of buying stuff, you are selling it. I just don't know how people would feel about it. I am torn whether to get into this or not.

Went to a 'gold party' - thought it was the coolest thing! You go, you don't have to buy a thing, and even the tiniest scraps of gold bring you cold, hard, cash! I sold some stuff from ex boyfriends and some jewelry I haven't worn since I was 16 and got about 200 bucks! (They were all really light - one of my friends sold a baggie of jewlery - heavier stuff - and walked away with almost double!) It's so fun! GO FOR IT!

I think it sounds good; my concern would be that when dealing with expensive gold, some people might only want to go to a well known and extablished jewler. I just mean that you should definately go for it if you want to but you should be prepared to have to market yourself for a while before you could start seeing a profit and I dont know what your other costs would be until then. Just something to think about. Im just being honest and just like on LIW we all go for the experienced vendors who have a name, people will usually do the same if they are dealing with expensive jewelery, more than just scraps.

My feelings would be to not go to a gold party, but rather a jeweler, if I ever felt the need to sell old gold. I would be afraid of getting screwed at a party, honestly, and I would want to make absolutely sure I was getting the best possible rate, so sorry, but in my opinion I wouldn't do it.

I wouldn't do it because I honestly don't think I own any actual gold lol!

But if I did, I would.
