NWR: good steak house

im looking for a good steak house any recommendations... i have a reservation at Peter Lugers in Great Neck but i dont know if its worth going any reviews

I personally don't like Peter Luger, but I'm in the minority on that one. I just don't like that the steaks come swimming in melted butter. I LOVE Bryant and Cooper in Manhasset/Roslyn area. It's expensive but soooo good!

Uncle Jacks is really good and Morton's as well.

I personally fall head over heels for PL lol But, what about Ruth Chris's steak house ?? I know about the one near roosevelt field mall, I have heard great things about them, but I have never eaten there. I hear its the same pricing as PL though.

Uncle Jacks is really good and Morton's as well.

Morton's is in Great Neck as well. Uncle Jack's is in queens.

Never been to Jacks but have been to all the others and they are all great. Peter Lugers you typically share a steak and it's old school feel. THe others you can kind of order your own versions of whatver you like.

Peter Luger's is GREAT, but only if you love porterhouse.
If you like more of a variety then BLT Prime in the city is fab.

i might change my reservation i have been to PL in brooklyn and it was good but i hear negative reviews about great neck

Bryant and Cooper on Jericho is the Manhassat area is great. Morton's is good too, I've only been to one in Manhattan and it was very business-like, but still good food. I think it's in Great Neck.

I was going to say the exact opposite. I love PL in Great Neck and was not impressed with Bklyn at all. Ruth Chris in Garden City is great. I have heard GREAT reviews for Brooks and Porter in Merrick it's is supposed to be AMAZING!!!

FH and I go to that one at least once a month and I LOVE it. Its always packed which is annoying but the food is awesomeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!
