Anyone had granite put in their kitchen?? I want granite reallllyyy bad. I had someone come and do an estimate today and they want $3700 and I dont even have alot of countertop space. I feel like going to China to get it myself.

Whatever you do DO NOT go through Home Depot!
granite is definitely expensive but really worth it. we have it in our kitchen and i wouldn't have it any other way it's a really great investment and it adds to the value of the home. i would bite the bullet and go for it
i have granite in my home and it's beautiful. definitely expensive though, but worth it! we got it from a dealer in farmingdale, right on Rt 110.
We had Home Depot come last week to measure but we don't know yet how much it would be b/c we didn't pick one yet. However, I have heard from a few different people NOT to do it through them. FH and I are big fans of the small, local places anyway, so once we have some wedding $$$ we'll probably do it. Our current countertops are gross!!!
I have granite counter tops but I heard granite tiles are less expensive so maybe you can check into that. My neighbor has granite tiles on her counter top. it looks really nice.
We just got a new kitchen and got granite for not that much at all. I don't have my papers with me but I got it from a place in westbury. FM me if you'd like their info.

I want to do this in my kitchen because not only does it look nice but it adds value to your home. I am afraid of how much its going to cost though. I dont think it should be too much since we dont have a ton of counter space but I dont know. There is so much I want to do in this new house its crazy![]()

It depends on the price per linear foot. 39.95 per LF is a great price 45 is the average. So measure your counters and see..
We just had our granite countertops put in last month....FM me if you'd like to know where we went. They did an amazing job and were really meticulous when installing it....I'd recommend them to anybody!
I have granite counter tops and I just couldnt find an awesome color that i liked so what FH did was he got huge granite tiles and tiled our countertops needless to say it looks awesome...anyway you look at it granite is crazy money but the tiles may be less take a look into it ....you can kinda see them in these pics from when i took my headpiece pics hope to help.
